Multitouch on Unibody MacBooks

A very sweet little demo app that shows the multitouch data being received by the trackpad -- it can track 11(!) finger touches, including the pressure and even the angle your finger is pointing. Works on pre-unibody MBPs too, at least on my August-2008 model.

Happy 40th Birthday, Mouse! [Doug Engelbart 1968 Demo]

Today is the 40th anniversary of "The Mother Of All Demos", Doug Engelbart et al's presentation of their NLS system at SRI. Among other things this was the first public use of a computer mouse. (It was also the first demonstration of onscreen windows, hypertext, and real-time collaboration.) This site has photos and a video stream of the whole event.
